Crowley, Texas

The Crowley Public Library was built on land that backs up to a small creek that was donated to the city. Formerly housed in a 2,500 s.f. building, at 10,000 s.f. the new library provides abundant space for books and patrons.

The entrance is enhanced with a raised ceiling and skylights that define the main axis of the library. There is a reading area at the rear of the library with views to the existing trees and creek. The library also features a large meeting room, staff workroom, and specialized teen and children’s areas.

To save costs, the library and the new Fire Station no.2 were constructed simultaneously in 2003.
