In 2013, Magee Architects was asked to design an open-air Tactical Training Gun Range for the City of Mansfield, Texas. Coordinating with Action Target, Magee Architects designed a shell and roof structure for their baffles and bullet trap system. A roll-up door for large equipment allows the department to train with vehicles for more realistic scenarios. The range also includes a classroom, restrooms, and storage.

At about the same time that Magee Architects was asked to design the gun range, they were also asked by the City of Mansfield to design a Police Dispatch Facility, a Service Center, and an addition to Fire Station No. 2. All projects were delivered on time and on budget.
